The
IGF Bag & Bio Pond Filter Advantage
The IGF Bag & Bio Pond Filter is a simply designed,
highly efficient biological filter that many of our dealers
have been quite satisfied to operate on their own retail
fish systems. This low-pressure filter requires an adequate
pre-filter installed on the pump supplying the Bag &
Bio water. Available in two sizes; suited for ponds up
to 4,000 gallons. |
Features:
Internal Mesh Bag
While we suggest installing a pre-filter on the suction
of the Bag & Bio’s pump, the filter’s
internal mesh bag acts as a secondary mechanical filter.
If a pre-filter is not installed on the pump’s suction,
the internal mesh filter bag will require more frequent
cleaning.
Solids Backwash
The Bag & Bio is equipped with a bottom drain that
can be used during operation or while the filter is shut
down to drain any bio flocculent that may have accumulated
inside the bio chamber as a result of bio filtering.
Biological Capabilities
Our Moving Bio Bed design uses our buoyant bio pads that
are constantly moving throughout the filter’s bio
chamber, creating optimum conditions for healthy, beneficial
bacteria to colonize.
Easy Servicing
Routine filter maintenance is required for the IGF Bag
& Bio, provided a pre-filter is installed at the suction
of the pump feeding the filter. Maintenance takes about
10 minutes biweekly and requires the filter to be shut
down. Simply remove the filter’s twist-on lid, remove
and clean the mesh filter bag, return the bag to the filter,
reattach the filter lid and resume filter operation. |
