BUSTED! |
This
comparison made by Aqua Ultraviolet is not only confusing but
also misleading!
The Aqua Ultraviolet 25 Watt UV has a 2” diameter housing
that will inexplicably position the radiometer’s sensor
probe closer to their UV lamp, than with our 3” diameter
UV housing. Obviously the intensity reading of their lamp will
be higher. This is not a true comparison due to the aforementioned
discrepancies. When
making a comparison you have to compare like items—apples
to apples.
Listed below are several feature comparisons between an Aqua
Ultraviolet 25 Watt UV and an Emperor Aquatics, Inc. 25 Watt
UV. Forget the hype. Here is a "true" product
quality, feature, and performance comparison that Aqua Ultraviolet
does not want you to see!

Fact
– That “chalky” white residue
appearing on Aqua Ultraviolet lamps, is a nitrogen byproduct–a
result of using
low-grade “ozone omitting” UV lamps.
Fact – Emperor
Aquatics, Inc. sells only superior “Non-Ozone
Omitting” replacement UV lamps for Aqua
Ultraviolet’s UVs. The result--no chalky white
stuff, and better UV light transmittance through the
glass!
|
|
Fact –
Both Emperor Aquatics, Inc. and Aqua Ultraviolet purchase
UV lamps from the same sources!
Fact – Aqua Ultraviolet uses a low-grade “ozone
omitting” UV lamp, glues blue caps on its ends and prints
their logo on it. |

Optimal UV Lamp Positioning
UV lamp position is between the inlet/outlet
ports, utilizing the lamp's UV output to its
maximum potential. See
Below
Easy
to Remove UV lamp & Quartz Sleeve
Allows both the UV lamp and the Quartz Sleeve to
be removed from the UV body for cleaning without
disturbing the Quartz Sleeve rubber gasket;
eliminates the need of inefficient wipers.
Remote
Power Supply
Positions the power supply away from the UV body,
protecting it from water damage caused by quartz
sleeve failure. Protects the user from a potentially
hazardous electrical shock.
"Green
Water" Flow Rates
Supplies the customer with water flow ratesbased
on green water conditions. Water flow rates based
on a UV exposure of 30,000 µWs/cm2
using an
80% UV transmissibility factor, complying with
UV performance guidelines demonstrated in
the EPA Design Manual for Municipal Waste
Water Disinfection.

External Starter-Bulb
Offers easy "lamp connector/starter-bulb"
replacement if needed due to a faulty quartz sleeve
seal. Helps save the UV lamp and transformer.
(Emperor Aquatics' 18 and 25 Watt models only)
"Potted" Watertight Power Supply
Assembled with a protective "Potting Compound"
that surrounds the transformer protecting it from
water damage due to a faulty quartz sleeve seal.
(Emperor Aquatics' 18 and 25 Watt models only)
26
Foot Power Cord Assembly
26 Foot Power Supply cord offers additional
operating location versatility.
(Emperor Aquatics' 18 and 25 Watt models only)
Power
Supply Adaptor
Power Supply Adaptor creates a watertight seal
making the UV body completely water tight. Also allows
the UV lamp to be removed/replaced without disturbing
the flow of water through the UV body.

Where
is the starter bulb located?
Emperor Aquatics, Inc.’s is easily accessible for our
customer’s safety and cost efficiency.
(shown at above left). Aqua Ultraviolet’s is inside
the power supply / ballast. That means the customer needs
to purchase a new power supply if the bulb blows – not
very cost efficient (shown at above right). |
